Transportation Supervisor

Full-Time | On-Site

Are you a transportation professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment? We’re looking for a Transportation Supervisor to lead daily freight operations, strengthen carrier relationships, and support strategic logistics initiatives that keep our network running smoothly and efficiently.

What You’ll Do

  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external logistics partners, including carriers, warehouse operations, sales, and sourcing.
  • Prioritize and coordinate transportation needs across all customers to ensure efficient, cost-effective delivery.
  • Support carrier negotiations to improve service, optimize rates, and enhance overall performance.
  • Track and manage transportation budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Oversee third-party logistics providers and ensure successful execution of LTL shipments.
  • Monitor critical KPIs such as on-time performance, cost trends, and carrier scorecards to drive continuous improvement.
  • Assist with network changes, including facility start-ups, production adjustments, and customer transitions.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and relevant international shipping standards (IATA, IMDG).
  • Use TMS platforms and reporting tools to improve visibility, streamline operations, and inform decision-making.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in transportation, freight execution, or logistics operations.
  • Strong proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and ERP tools.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership capabilities.
  • Experience with Lean/Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into action.
  • Project management experience and cross-functional collaboration skills preferred.

Working Environment

This is an on-site role with time split between office and warehouse settings. Occasional travel may be required.
