Job Summary:

The Senior Financial Analyst will deliver financial insights, forecasting, and reporting in support of operational and strategic goals. This role will partner with leadership to evaluate business performance, create financial models, and prepare budgets and forecasts. The ideal candidate will bring a background in financial planning & analysis, strong modeling experience, and the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Conduct variance analysis to evaluate discrepancies between actual and budgeted figures.
  • Support the team in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes and reporting.
  • Analyze financial data and trends to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather financial information and understand departmental impacts on overall company performance.
  • Create Microsoft Excel pivot tables, formulas, and macros for data management and dashboard reporting.
  • Develop and maintain data flows and dashboards.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives to drive business growth and efficiency.
  • Conduct market research to understand trends and impacts on financial performance.
  • Apply Microsoft Excel formulas, features, and functions for data management and dashboard reporting.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3-5 or more years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within food and beverage or retail
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • A firm understanding of core financial principles, software, and programs.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
  • Background in data analytics and market research.
  • Clear verbal and non-verbal communication skills for presenting data findings and engaging stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving knowledge for addressing financial questions and proposing solutions.
  • Technical skills with bookkeeping or accounting software such as NetSuite.
  • Leadership training to effectively manage finance teams or departments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with financial software and ERP systems is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Desired Skills:

  • Technical skills with bookkeeping or accounting software such as Netsuite, SQL, and Hyperion.
  • Experience with NetSuite Analytics Warehouse, Power BI, or another Business Intelligence platform
  • System administration experience
  • QSR/Hospitality experience

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, professional training, and experience
