About the RoleTresco, Inc. is looking for a skilled and motivated Repair Technician to join our Facilities Maintenance team in Socorro , NM . This essential role ensures the quality, safety, and functionality of New Mexico’s rest areas by performing hands-on maintenance and repairs that keep facilities in top shape for the traveling public.

???? Position DetailsPosition Title: Repair Technician
Location: Deming, New Mexico
Schedule: Saturday – Wednesday | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Wage: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour , depending on experience
As a Repair Technician , you’ll:
????️ Perform and oversee maintenance and repairs on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and structural systems.
???? Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve building system issues efficiently.
???? Train rest area staff in proper maintenance and repair procedures.
???? Operate and maintain tools and equipment such as mowers, tractors, and man lifts.
????️ Complete concrete, stucco, and carpentry repairs to shelters, benches, and facilities.
???? Maintain and repair irrigation and water systems, including pumps, pipes, and septic systems.
???? Maintain safety, cleanliness, and compliance in accordance with state and federal contracts.
You’ll ensure every rest area remains operational, safe, and welcoming for all visitors.
QualificationsEducation:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in general trades.
HVAC, electrical, and electronics experience preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
Valid Driver’s License required.
Must successfully pass background and security checks, including:
MVR (driving record)
General background check
Office of Inspector General/CMMS Exclusions List
✔ Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
✔ Skilled in plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and construction systems.
✔ Ability to read and interpret blueprints or sketches.
✔ Knowledge of OSHA and safety compliance standards.
✔ Ability to drive vehicles up to 26,000 BVM and operate heavy equipment safely.
✔ Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
✔ Bilingual (Spanish) skills a plus!
