WeDesign is a NYC-based, e-learning company (). We offer access to the worlds finest online art and design education, which includes interactive learning experiences for elementary, middle school, and pre-college students, recreational learners, and senior executives. We utilize the latest user interfaces and online platforms to connect students to remote and physical spaces, and to faculty from the worlds top art and design schools.

We are currently looking for a PT Graphic & Web Designer to join us and partner in delivering the best art and design education to students from around the world. As PT Graphic & Web Designer you will develop, manage and create the visual assets that represent the programs and are used for promotional aspects. This role acts as a dual role as you will also be incharge of developing and designing the website to make sure the programs and pages represent the correct information, graphics and user experience. You will have a multidisciplinary role working across a number of areas with the team from graphics, platform research and web developments. You will collaborate with the Academic Experience Director, Media/Marketing Manager to produce and edit a variety of assets to promote or represent the various programs at WeDesign. You will work on creating a better user experience and work on the platform where new content can be shared and accessed. This role requires strong interpersonal skills due to frequent one-on-one collaboration with the team.

Main Responsibilities:

Graphic design

• Developing the graphic assets and promotional materials to represent and present each program
• Collaborate with the team to develop promotional material that will help our customers better connect with our products and services
• Support and create programs and partnership presentations to represent the companies offering
• Assist in translation of course content for graphic purpose and asset development

Website Development

• Redesign the content/ presentation (graphic) of the company website to represent the existing programs
• Improve the website user experience in both the US and CN
• Think strategically about page design and program presentation
• Execute all visual design stages and implementation using a premade platform (WIX)
• Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas for the Website
• Research web platforms to compare and develop further developments

General

• Work closely with team to execute graphic/marketing and web projects from initial contact through final deliverable
• Take part in planning to ensure efficient and high-quality work delivered on deadline
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines under direct supervision and independently
• Provide feedback and contribute to improving program experience

Competencies

• Graphic design experience in a brand or agency setting preferably Education
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc..)
• Excellent typography and layout skills
• Familiarity with design systems, style guides and pattern libraries
• Experience crafting simple and compelling graphic presentations and assets
• Understanding of creative, design and marketing processes to develop program assets
• Knowledge of all the Adobe CC suite
• Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction.
• Storytelling skills and an understanding of the creative process
• Attention to detail and a high level of professionalism/work ethic

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 1-3 years experience in either User experience, Wed design or Graphic design
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator)
• Knowledge of graphic design principles, web development and how to develop a strong presence and user experience
• Well organized and willing to adapt to new project management workflows
• Open to learning, dedicated to improving, committed to excellence
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills, deadline driven
• Ability to work under deadline pressure
• The ability to work unsupervised
• Ability to work well in a fast paced team environment and take feedback

Preferred but not required

• Experience in video production or editing
• Experience in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Knowledge of online education
• Experience working for an art and design school or company
