The Production Assistant reports directly to the Production Manager and is primarily responsible for assisting/finishing of various wide-format specialty printing products. This position plays a critical role in the franchises profit and margin potential through quality control, outstanding performance in fast turn-around times, high-quality product output, and efficiency with materials to minimize waste./ppThese are some of the things you get to do:/pulliReceive, process, and maintain orders for large format finishing./liliMounting printed media to substrates/liliLaminating large format printed graphics/liliTrimming and cutting/liliPackaging and shipping/liliPrioritize work based on customer needs, workload, and machine capabilities./liliLaminate, trim, and custom cut digital print products as required./liliEvaluate product and make adjustments for good level of quality./liliTroubleshoot problems that occur during job submission or the printing process./liliInspect finished work for quality, accuracy, count, and sizes./liliMinor maintenance includes cleaning, replenishing consumables, replacing filters, and waste containers./liliGather, organize, and wrap completed work for delivery to customers or the next department./liliReport mechanical failure to the Production Manager or Branch Manager./liliWork overtime when necessary./li/ulpWhat we are looking for in your background:/pulli2+ years experience in large format finishing such as signage, posters, window graphics etc./liliGeneral knowledge of equipment and materials used in large-format printing and mounting./liliA positive attitude and a willingness to work as part of a team./liliSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and resourcefully with minimal oversight./liliA keen eye for detail./liliAbility to understand and communicate job-related information clearly and concisely./liliAble to multi-task while maintaining quality and accuracy./liliExcellent customer service skills./liliKnowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is not mandatory but is an asset./li/ulpWorking at SpeedPro and in the large-format printing industry, gives you a chance to be creative.
