Panel Design Engineer

Title: Panel Design Engineer

Salary: $75,000 - $100,000

Location: Crystal Lake, IL

Requirements: Panel Design, Electrical Engineering, AutoCAD/Solidworks Electrical

Founded in 1992, We specialize in automation, motion control, and pneumatic solutions. Serving OEMs and industrial end users. We deliver custom-engineered control systems and UL-certified panels. The Panel Design Engineer will lead the design and documentation of industrial control panels from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop industrial control panels in compliance with UL 508A and UL 698A standards.
• Create detailed electrical schematics and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical or equivalent.
• Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to interpret customer requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
• Select components and ensure compatibility with system specifications and safety codes.
• Support panel assembly, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure quality and performance.

Must-Have Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar CAD software.
• Strong knowledge of UL standards, NFPA 79, and NEC regulations.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, motor controls, and industrial automation hardware.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
