Position Overview

NorTek Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) with a specialization in Family Practice to join a community health center for a permanent, full-time position. This is an outpatient role to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a family medicine setting.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to patients in an outpatient family medicine setting.

Conduct assessments, diagnostic tests, and treatments for a wide range of family medicine conditions.

Manage a caseload of approximately 18 patients per shift.

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Document all patient interactions and clinical details accurately using the Epic EMR system.

Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and relevant regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

Licensure: Active, unrestricted California State license.

Certification:

Board Certification in Family Medicine (required).

BLS Certification (required).

Experience:

At least 2 years of clinical experience in a Family Medicine setting.

Strong diagnostic and treatment skills in outpatient family practice.

Other:

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Board Certification in Family Medicine required.

Practice Setting

Facility Type: Outpatient family medicine.

Patient Population: General family medicine patients.

Support Staff:

1 Registered Nurse (RN)

2 Medical Assistants (MAs)

Supervision: No supervision of other providers required.

Resident or Teaching Supervision: Not required.

Work Hours & Schedule

Start Date: February 23, 2026

End Date: Ongoing

Clinical Hours: Monday to Friday, with set hours for scheduled shifts.

Call: No on-call responsibilities.

Travel & Lodging

Nearest Airport: ACV (Arcata, CA).

Lodging: Consult with Open Door Community Health Centers for housing options.
