**Overview**
The Network Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and deploying network firewalls and related network devices across Audacys national markets and cloud segments. This individual will join a small team of network engineers who maintain these technologies and participate in the development of new enhanced network performance and security capabilities and solutions.
**Responsibilities**
**What You'll Do:**
+ Assist team members in all day-to-day firewall, WAN, and perimeter operations tasks and utilize network monitoring tools to ensure that software, hardware, and circuit performance meet business needs.
+ Work closely with internal customers, IT staff, vendors, and cloud providers to implement planned firewall and related network changes and coordinate plans for developing projects.
+ Ensure that all firewalls and related network devices are vulnerability-free and operating with supported versions.
+ Participate in external forums and pursue knowledge of new network security and firewall management trends.
+ Participate in rotational after-hours support or network troubleshooting activities as needed.
**Qualifications**
**Qualifications:**
+ Some hands-on experience with various network switching and routing environments, including firewall, DMZ, and basic load balancer configurations.
+ Familiarity with network capacity planning, security concepts, and project management methodologies.
+ A general understanding of basic BGP/OSPF, multicast, QoS, SDWAN, VPNs, and overlay networking concepts, and especially a willingness to learn more.
+ Hands-on experience with solutions like Palo Alto, Fortinet, Datadog, AWS & GCP networking, and protocol analyzers is preferred.
+ Fortinet NSE4 or similar networking certification is a plus.
