Position Overview
The Floor Manager – Hospitality & Events plays a key leadership role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences throughout the restaurant, taproom, and event spaces. This position oversees daily front-of-house operations, supports the service team, and manages private and public events from planning through execution. The ideal candidate has strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills with a passion for hospitality and event coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Hospitality & Floor Management
Lead and support front-of-house staff during service to maintain a high standard of guest experience.
Ensure smooth daily operations of the restaurant, bar, and taproom.
Act as the point of contact for guest feedback and on-site problem solving.
Monitor floor flow, table turns, and staffing levels to optimize efficiency.
Collaborate with the culinary and bar teams to uphold brand consistency and service excellence.
Event Management
Oversee all brewery-hosted and private events, including weddings, corporate functions, and community gatherings.
Manage event inquiries, bookings, and communication with clients.
Coordinate with the kitchen, bar, and service teams to execute events according to client expectations and brewery standards.
Prepare event layouts, timelines, and staffing plans.
Work with the marketing team to promote upcoming brewery events and assist with on-site activation.
Team Leadership & Administration
Train, coach, and motivate service staff to maintain hospitality standards.
Assist with scheduling, opening/closing duties, and daily cash handling.
Support hiring and onboarding of front-of-house employees.
Maintain compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in hospitality management, event coordination, or restaurant leadership (brewery or high-volume venue preferred).
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
Proven ability to manage multiple events and teams simultaneously.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Proficiency with POS systems and event management software (e.g., Tripleseat, SevenRooms, TOAST, or similar).
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for events and peak service hours.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $50,000 – $65,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
