Job Summary:

As a Nurse Practitioner at Baptist Urgent Care, you will be at the forefront of patient care, diagnosing and treating a variety of acute and chronic conditions. You’ll collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure our patients receive the highest standard of care. Our full-time providers work a rotating schedule of 36-40 hours per week, including 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exemplary customer service to patients, visitors, and coworkers.
  • Provide friendly, convenient care to all who seek our services.
  • Lead and assist during emergencies, ensuring a comforting presence for patients.
  • Perform medical assessments, treatments, and follow-ups for various conditions.
  • Conduct medical procedures such as laceration repairs, injections, and more.
  • Establish and monitor appropriate care levels for clinic patients.
  • Support on-site laboratory and x-ray services as needed.
  • Maintain clinical core competency and participate in policy development.
  • Engage in continuing education programs for staff and recommend service improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing and accreditation standards.
  • Represent the clinic at internal and external meetings.

What’s Required?

  • Experience as a Provider is preferred, but new graduates are welcome!
  • State License as an APRN or Physician Assistant.
  • Certification as an APRN through the AANP or ANCC.
  • DEA license (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
  • DOT certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
  • BLS certification.
