We are seeking a versatile compliance professional to join our investment management Compliance team, providing compliance support to an array of business initiatives with an initial primary focus supporting our research business platforms. The ideal candidate is a compliance professional with a talent for conceptualizing and implementing compliance processes and that has an interest in finance, data, and technology. The candidate must be a proven collaborator and self-motivated with sharp attention to detail. Experience supporting sell-side or buy-side financial research programs would be helpful as would a legal background. You Will Take On The Following Responsibilities Managing the onboarding of contributors to various research and insight platforms, such as programs involving the sell-side, financial professionals, and public company management; Overseeing compliance programs for a diverse range of internal analysts and research platforms with an emphasis on discretionary and fundamental research; Developing, implementing and standardizing internal policies across the group; Liaising with business partners to understand their business needs; Collaborating with in-house lawyers on a variety of counterparty contracts and licenses in the research space; Researching emerging and evolving areas of law and regulation relating to financial information, securities, investment management, technology, and machine learning; Testing and surveilling for compliance, including through integrations with data and software and via collaborations with engineering partners; Training business partners on policies and processes; and Staying ahead of industry developments, technological innovation, and compliance issues related to the firm’s various investment management business lines. You Should Possess The Following Qualifications Ideally 4-7 years of experience working as a compliance professional, regulatory lawyer, or experience as a regulatory consultant. High aptitude, strong analytical skills, and intellectual curiosity especially for finance, data, and technology. Extraordinary organization skills and a penchant for designing efficient processes and workflows and documentation. Experience building and operating systems for testing and surveillance that relies on data integrations. Capacity to work closely with engineers and project managers. Ability and desire to independently learn emerging areas of law and risk, and to identify compliance issues related to innovative businesses. Desire to handle novel and complex issues and ability to formulate and convey concrete recommendations. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation and benefits, such as a discretionary bonus, health, dental and other wellness plans and 401(k) contributions. Actual compensation for successful candidates will be carefully determined based on a number of factors, including their skills, qualifications and experience.
