Audiology Technician

Virsono Hearing Center is seeking a dynamic, patient focused professional to provide Audiology Support Services in our rapidly growing Wilson NC clinic. Welcome all of the following to apply: Certified MA/LVN/LPN or licensed Hearing Aid Dispenser, or Certified Audiology Assistant a plus.

Not only will this team member provide hands-on care to our patients, but you will also be the conduit between the patient and our Remote Audiology Doctors. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interface with patients, including obtaining hearing/health history, administering cognitive screenings, and performing other test procedures as allowed by law.
  • Assist the remote audiologist in advanced audiometric evaluations, fitting and programming of both the Earlens Direct Contact Devices as well as Acoustic Hearing Devices.
  • Assist the remote audiologist in verification and validation protocols.
  • Assist the remote audiologist in follow up procedures and processes.
  • Provide exceptional service and create an experience that goes above and beyond patient expectations.
  • Work collaboratively with staff and support services to achieve a high level of coordinated patient care and
  • Assist with clinic opening procedures, daily preparation, practice good safety and sanitation protocol, maintain inventory and supplies, support marketing activities, and closing procedures.
  • Maintain patient charts, communicate with patients, manage the schedule, patient clinical records, inventory and patient invoicing using online OMS (Office Management System).
  • Prepare thorough patient report packets for partnering providers.
  • Complete and submit forms for patient orders and re-orders.
  • Provides hearing device troubleshooting for patients.
  • Maintain active management of schedule, prioritize actions and people interactions with timeliness and consistently meet expectations of the role.
  • Other clinical and administrative duties as assigned.

Job Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Minimum High School Graduate or Equivalent.
  • MA/LPN/LVN a plus.
  • Experience in a medical/healthcare clinical environment.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple areas of responsibility concurrently.
  • Must be able to plan and work independently as well as with a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that allow effective working relationships with a diverse patient, colleague, and vendor population
  • Ability and desire to be proactive with a solutions mindset.
  • A creative thinker: one who looks for new and innovative ways of doing things.
  • Must be a self-starter, takes initiative and have an impeccable work ethic.

  • Computer literate, with proficiency in Office Management Systems (e.g., CounselEar), Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point.
