Develops proficiency with corporate software, especially SQL, R, & Excel. Performs technical calculations in support of actuarial work/research. Demonstrates independence in compilation of data for analysis and in preparation of required management reports. Demonstrates an understanding of insurance products and terminology. Develops ad hoc actuarial reports/tools as needed. Assists in performing model runs related to Cash Flow Testing and Principles-Based Reserves. Assists in analyzing projection results for quarterly reporting. Maintains and updates documentation of processes as necessary. Supports process improvement and automation initiatives. Basic Qualifications : Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in a role requiring actuarial analysis or 2 actuarial exams passed. Must be working towards and making satisfactory progress toward ASA or FSA designation, completing required training and examinations, and achieving required certifications. Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or equivalent education and experience required. Preferred Qualifications : Working knowledge of valuation/projection software, including ArcVal, MG-ALFA, and Prophet. Familiar with insurance products and basic product features. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work well with others. Excellent problem-solving skills.
